The builder looked at the plans and frowned. The architect looked confident.
“Listen Mr. ah…”
“Wolfe, Mr. A. Wolfe. What seems to be the problem?”
“I”ve been building for years and I can’t see how in the world a house made of straw is go’in ta hold up to the weather in this part of the world. It’s just not practical. Never pass inspection.”
“Not to worry. This is an entirely new design and the client is perfectly happy to have it built just this way.”
“What’s the guy’s name now?”
“It’s Mr. Pigg, Littleton Pigg.”
“I’ve gotta meet this guy.”

Ha.. who’s afraid of the big bad Wolfe? .. Mr Piggs brother probably did a better job.

I was thinking too that the subject of hay or straw reminded several of us about favorite fairy tales and nursery rhymes. There was probably a lot of hay and straw around when those stories were first told.

Cute story! It gave me a smile. I like a new take on a classic fairy tale. One note, “pass” in “Never pass inspection” has an extra ‘s’. 🙂

A couple of those Piggs, you can’t teach them anything. As for Mr. Wolfe, you’d think he’d recall what happened the last time he tangled with the Pigg Brothers. Cute story.
