      • You are so kind, Suzanne. I was afraid this installment was too sedate.
I don’t talk about “career” stuff on my own blog, but I could tell you were wondering about my “road trip rest stop”. But it was all for the best of things!😀
With hardly any notice for both, I had an interview for a different job and I was asked to speak in 2 spots at a big conference (something I’ve never done). So I had to study and prepare all I could.

With the interview (whether or not I get the job) and the double speaking engagement (my first professional gig at speaking) I feel like I achieved a lot — at least on an inner level. I wasn’t perfect, but I held my own with the professional speakers pretty well. It was all very good for my lagging self-confidence. Still, it’s good to be back in the blogosphere. Be well; be happy.

  1. Good for you, Teagan. I hope you get the job you interviewed for. As you say, though, it was a good experience. I had to learn to speak in front of a group when I became a teacher. It was hard for me at first but I learned with experience. Speaking at a conference would even be a step above that. Welcome back and you be well and happy also. 🙂 — Suzanne

    • To be honest… I feel very undecided about the job. But still great experience. And a huge boost to be considered, when I’ve worked for people the past 3 years who do not value me in the slightest and relegate me to cut-n-paste “writing.” I need to know that the new managers would value me, and at this point, I haven’t seen proof. That’s why I feel “undecided” right now. It would be a good opportunity though, and a fresh start, a closer step to the southwest.
      More hugs, my friend. 🙂
