In spite of Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell warning Russia to “quit messing around in our elections,” Russians have not stopped. They continue their influence and propaganda. With social media such as Facebook and Twitter taking note and making changes, Russian propagandists have turned to Word Press blogs.
Earlier this year, I received notifications from Word Press for email followers. I didn’t pay much attention to the first one because there are people who follow this blog via email who do not have Word Press accounts to comment. When I received two more notifications on the same day, and they too had Outlook email addresses, I knew that was not usual. I checked a Word Press forum and found that others were experiencing the same and were concerned about it.

I get so confused.
When I was little we did duck and covers, and parents built bomb shelters because “The Russians are Coming!”
Then in college we didn’t trust the CIA, and didn’t worry about Russia.
Now we trust the CIA, and worry about Russia.
All I can say is, put a band aid on your laptop camera lens!

I read our emails are being scrutinized by the government. What government I’m not sure. I also remember when everyone thought the communists were going to take over the U.S. People were practically seeing commies in their backyards. I bet a lot of retailers made money off the supplies to build and supply those bomb shelters. That was good business as long as it lasted. People didn’t seem to worry how they’d survive when they came out of them. My teacher as I remember went a step further and had our class go to the furnace room as it had no windows. —- Suzanne

Thanks for sharing, Suzanne. I’ve noticed some email with Russian addresses and some bloggers being a little invasive. This is a good thing to be aware of.
